Cedar Lake National Recreation Area
Cedar Lake is located within the Ouachita National Forest, trees and mountains form the backdrop for this picturesque lake. Cedar Lake is 86 acres and accommodates fishing, boating (up to 7.5 hp), and two swim beaches from mid-May to October. There are campgrounds available: first come-first serve tent sites, RV hook-ups (mostly semi-modern), group camps, and equestrian campsites with picket posts, horse wash racks and accessible horse mounting station. Other amenities include showers, boat ramps/docks, playground, volleyball, pavilions, picnic areas, hiking/biking trails, swimming beach and a camp host on site. Hiking and 70 miles of equestrian trails are also available.
