Cordell Reservoir
Cordell Reservoir is a unique watchable wildlife opportunity in the midst of semiarid Western Oklahoma. The Cordell Reservoir Wildlife Conservation and Public Use Area is an ecological oasis where a spring-fed tributary of West Boggy Creek provides an abundance of water for the area. Bordering the reservoir are a creek bottomland, wooded areas, upland mixed-grass prairies and hardwood/juniper Savannahs. A primitive walking trailway through the area allows the wildlife watcher an opportunity to encounter an abundance of area wildlife. No RVs allowed, and some boating restrictions apply. Fishing for trophy largemouth bass, channel catfish, crappie and sunfish with some restrictions. Primitive sites available with no water or restrooms.
Directions: 8 miles W on Hwy 152 to Dill City, then 3 miles N, 1/2 mile E on unnumbered Washita County roads.
